Maybe tomorrow will be better, can I call you then?

Here we're once more to let you all know about our amazing mini-road trip to ST.LOUIS during the first weekend of April!

The first thing we need to say is............. THANK YOU EMILY!! Thank you for inviting us, we had an amazing weekend and you are simply the best!

We arrived to Glen Carbon (Illinois) on friday night and Emily introduced us to Fast Eddie's, the most authentic American bar we've ever been, where there was live music, a bachelorette party (a giant penis included) and the "best" shrimps we had ever tried.....¬¬

The weather was really nice the entire weekend so the next morning we had breakfast in the porch while watching Bentley (Emily's dog) playing in the garden. Afterwards, we went to St.Louis (Missouri) to visit the Anheuser-Busch company. The factory offers a free tour where you can see how the beer process is made, learn about the company's history, drink free Budweiser and see the horses they have in the stables.

Later, we went to see the famous Gateway Arch near the Missouri river, we ate some hot dogs and continued drinking beers to get ready for the baseball game! The Cardinals lost against San Diego Padres but we were so excited and happy eating nachos and listening Emily's explanations about the game that we didn't really care.

At night, we went back to Glen Carbon, we saw "The Proposal" while resting, ate Bobby's ice-cream and we warmed ourselves up by the fire. We've never ever seen SUCH a HUGE fire, right Emily???!!! We can swear that your father is not precisely a pyromaniac...........hahahaha!

We spent the Sunday morning discovering different spots around, visiting Edwardsville, being amazed with the   impressive houses there are in that area, ordering the food from the car in Sonic where waitres come in roller skates and taking pictures in the convertible! This last is sooooo Marta and Mariel!

In conclusion, the weekend is going to be hard to forget. We are so glad that we had the chance to get closer to the authentic American country life-style that since then we cannot stop listening country music.... hahaha!

We end the post with this video!Specially dedicated to Emily! Thanks again!
